Daily TrustSep 28, 2026
The Yobe State Government is implementing the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) to enhance girls' education. This initiative aims to construct 50 new secondary schools and rehabilitate 225 existing ones, significantly increasing access to quality education for girls in the region.
Project Coordinator Malam Abdullahi Dahiru Bulah highlighted the importance of this initiative in addressing educational disparities faced by girls in Yobe State. The focus on improving educational infrastructure is expected to empower young women and contribute to their overall development.
This effort aligns with broader goals of promoting gender equality in education, particularly in regions where girls face significant barriers to schooling. The initiative is a crucial step towards ensuring that girls in Yobe have the opportunity to pursue their education and improve their future prospects.
