Idlib has initiated its first olive festival, aiming to revitalize the local agricultural sector after significant losses.
Over the past 14 years, the province has lost approximately 1.5 million olive trees due to systematic cutting, impacting local farmers and the economy.
The festival features 52 exhibition pavilions from five Syrian governorates, showcasing olive cultivation and supporting agricultural producers through initiatives like distributing seedlings and tree-planting campaigns.
